Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Country Director, you will support and will mentor the Nutrition & Health Deputy program managers and Nutrition & Health program managers in technical and managerial aspects of their position. ACF Nutrition team consists of national program managers, deputy program managers, 7 senior capacity building officers, 7 capacity building officers and 7 community mobilizers. Majority of the team members have experience in implementation of CMAM programs.
More precisely, you will in charge to:
Mentor the team on quality, accountability and impact measurement process of the program;
Establish training and skills development plan for the Nutrition teams of the current programs and provide technical trainings;
Coach the team on their roles and responsabilities with support from the Nutrition and Health Head of Department;
Reinforce their capacities to capitalize and to provide technical development in the sector.
You hold a Nurse, Nutrition/Public Health or relevant degree, with a strong experience on Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition/CMAM.
You must have experience in coaching and capacity building of field teams on CMAM/IMAM, monitoring and supervision.
You are recognized for your respect, diplomacy and stress management capacities.
A previous experience with ACF is preferable.

Yemen is one of the countries with L3 emergencies in the world. The health and needs in the country are vey high and the context is very challenging in regards to access to the communities. The mission has been providing integrated life saving IMCI, ANC/PNC services along with treatment of acutely malnourished children in the country with support from ECHO, SIDA and UNICEF. In Hodeidah, ACF is running projects delivering health and nutrition services with support from ECHO, SIDA, and DFID. In addition, ACF is going to implement integrated management of acute malnutrition (CMAM approach) services through the ministry of health in Hodeidah and Hajjah governorates. The project is designed to build the technical capacity of the ministry of health workers, managers in delivering CMAM services and WaSH services through the existing health facilities.
Saana base : 6-7 expatriates working at coordination level including technical and support department under the Country Director and the Deputy Country Director. Security situation in Saana remained under close observation with limited access to other agencies, few super markets and official meetings in Saana.
Hodeidah base : team of 2-3 expatriates staff in each base working in a team and security situation in hodeidah is alarming limiting the social aspects of regular living i.e. limited personal movement outside office/guesthouse, meeting friends after office, shopping.
