General description of the position

Under the supervision of the Country Director, you will have to ensure sound and transparent administration of funds by providing accounting and financial management consistent with the ACF financial management framework and local legislation. More precisely, the main responsibilities will be:



Main responsabilities


  • Contribute to the definition of mission strategy
  • Ensure high quality accounting for the mission
  • Ensure high quality cash management for the mission
  • Provide financial and budgetary management
  • Promote and ensure financial collaboration and coordination with mission partners
  • Prevent and manage fraud and corruption
  • Establish living standards for the mission
  • Manage the Finance team in capital and be Technical/Support Manager of Finance Managers in the bases

Do you fit the requested profile ?

You hold a Degree in Finance or Business Administration. You have at least 3 years experience in humanitarian sector, with 12 months minimum in similar position (ACF is a plus). 

You are recognized for your ecellent interpersonal, organizational and multitasking skills. You demonstrate also a high capacity of work , Integrity and  diplomacy. You are a challenges-seeker with high degree of flexibility and autonomy. 

You hold strong management skills and communication skill. 

Fluent in English (speaking and writing) is mandatory and knowledge of Arabic will be a plus.


Work context

Jordan mission is a dynamic mission rapidly growing ; with large scale WaSH and Livelihoods projects being implemented in host communities and refugees camp, Mental Health sector is being now developed. Country strategy combines emergency and development projects to address needs of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanian in an holistic approach. With a team of 12 international employees and more than 100 national colleagues, ACF Jordan office manages a portfolio of projects for more than 9 millions €, in response to the Syria crisis in Northern and Eastern Jordan. The donors range vary from institutional funds (UNICEF / MADAD) to bilateral agreements (AFD / GIZ / Taiwan). To support the 3 operational bases, the coordination office is based in Amman. Jordan is considered as a stable country where security conditions enable a safe implementation of the projects.
