General description of the position

Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director Program, you will support the mission on the implementation of ACF funding strategy. You will be responsible for the day to day grants and contract management of the ACF portfolio, supporting in grant compliance, contributing to the new funding proposal development, grant modifications, donor relations, ensuring the quality and timing reporting and donor compliance during the implementation.


Main responsabilities

Support the design and the development of the mission’s funding strategy in relation with the Deputy Country Director and the Field Coordinator

  • initiating prospect research on donors to evaluate grants opportunities 
  • the design of a funding strategy of ACF in Iraq
  • Mapping the potential donors in Iraq for WASH, FSL, MHCP and Nutrition


Coordinate and follow up the organization of overall donors activities and elaboration of donors documents (proposal, contracts’ management and reports)

  • Coordinating concept note/proposal writing as weel as providing support to FCo and HoDs on writing                 
  • Sharing retro-planning for proposal development
  • Ensuring adequacy of CN/PP/Reports with PCM, donors requirements and guidelines 


 Ensure appropriate and quality internal and external reporting

  • Consolidating and finalizing donors’ reports (coherence with proposal and previous reports, the quality and the coherence with guidelines)
  • Preparing the final package for donors’ reports before submission (at mission or HQ level) 
  • Ensuring the regular follow-up of donors’ reporting deadlines

Do you fit the requested profile ?

You hold a Bachelors degree (a Masters degree will be a plus) in International Development, social sciences or related field in alignment with the relief and development sectors.

You have 2 years of experience in project cycle management, reporting and extensive knowledge of program in the INGO/Humanitarian field preferred, as well as in development sector (WASH, FSL, Nutrition, Mental Health Care Practices, etc.).

You are familiar with relevant donors (OFDA, EUROPEAID, ECHO, UN, AFD, OCHA) and others donors regulations. 

You have excellent written and spoken English skills and you are able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.

A previous experience in the Middle East is desired (emergency response and conflict/IDP, refugees)


Specific conditions / Salary

Contract12 months fixed term contract under french legislation

Remuneration and benefits :

  • Monthly gross salary from 1 805€ to 2 305 € upon experience.
  • Per diem and living allowance: 487 € net (field paid)
  • + 12 % of monthly gross salary as country allowance
  • + 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen.

Transportation and accommodation:

  • Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission.
  • Individual room in guesthouse covered 

 Medical coverage100% coverage of medical expenses + repatriation insurance.

 Leaves and RnR

  • 25 days of paid leaves per year.
  • + 20 RnR per year.   
  • + 215 € at each RnR period (averagely every 12 weeks)
  • Coverage of the transportation expenses to the RnR area of reference (Turkey).

Work context

The position will be based at the coordination office of ACF in iraq with some travels to the field when required. 

The Grant and Reporting Coordinator will work under the supervision of the DCD- Programme and in close collaboration with the different HOD and other department staff. 

The Grant and Reporting Coordinator does not have human resources management responsabilities. 

Currently the projects' portfolio under programme is composed by 11 projects (WASH, FSL, Nutrition and MHCP) implemented from Dohuk and Mosul ACF bases.  Most of the projects will finalize on June 2018. Other proposals have been submitted in WASH, FSL and MHCP and are now on pipeline. Depending on ACF registration process in Baghdad a potential increase of the programme portfolio in other regions of Iraq (Central and Sothern Iraq ) is foreseen.
