General description of the position

You will in charge to lead the MHPSS Working Group, coordinate with all cluster actors and to do capacity building for the MHCP teams based on the protocols validated by the AAH MHCP team.


Main responsabilities

More precisely, you will have to:

  • To review the ToR of the MHPSS Working Group
  • To prepare a strategic annual plan for the MHPSS WG
  • To facilitate the MHPSS WG and follow-up
  • To coordinate with all relevant cluster actors
  • To prepare coaching and training materials and sessions for the field team based on the protocols validated by the AAH MHCP team (field and HQ). To adapt the protocols with the team, if necessary
  • To coach and train the field team (MHPSS WG Coordinator, PSS Master trainer, MHCP DHoD and MHCP and Programme teams)
  • To adjust current tools or provide new tools for clinical work and clinical supervision
  • To provide support to trained people to train field staff

Do you fit the requested profile ?

You hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology.

You have at least 3 years of related field experience with humanitarian NGO and 1-year experience with conducting trainings in health system strengthening.

You have a specific expertise on trauma oriented clinical approaches.

You have an experience in implementing MHPSS humanitarian programs and in care practices.

Background in undernutrition, mental health, care practices, gender and protection and previous experience with ACF is preferred.

Strong training and supervisory skills, including clinical supervision 

Ability to manage priorities & take decisions. Pedagogy and focus on capacity building (team quite young)

Very Good proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Demonstrated experience and/or personal commitment to promoting gender equity and equality.


Specific conditions / Salary

Contract 2 months fixed term contract under French legislation


Remuneration and benefits :

Monthly gross salary from 1 805 € to 2305 € upon experience.

Per diem and living allowance:  383 € (cf eurocost) net, field paid.

+ 12 % of monthly gross salary as country allowance. 

+ 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen.

+ Child allowance, limited to 5 children.

Transportation and accommodation:

Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission.

Individual room in guesthouse covered (préciser si logement individuel)

 

Medical coverage100% coverage of medical expenses + repatriation insurance.

 

Leaves and RnR

25 days of paid leaves per year.

+ 20 RnR per year.   

+ 215 € at each RnR period (averagely every 3 months – préciser si mission plus favorable).

Coverage of the transportation expenses to the RnR area of reference.

 

Training :

Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Crossknowledge ©.

Technical trainings at HQ or regional level (averagely 1 per year). 

Intermission Workshop once a year.

Opportunity of coaching (DP) or mentorship.

Participation to external trainings costs upon eligibility of the request.

 

 


Work context

 

ACF has been operating in Afghanistan since 1979, with a strong focus on emergency response to human-made and natural disasters, targeting primarily refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, and flood/drought affected populations. Over the years, ACF has expanded the focus of its’ intervention from short-term, more emergency to longer term projects aimed at addressing chronic vulnerabilities of the communities and strengthening their capacity to prepare to, and cope with disasters. Sector-wise, ACF has established itself over the past 25 years as a prominent Nutrition and WASH actor, with recognized expertise in these two sectors.
