Who are we?

45 years of action for a world without hunger

Action contre la Faim fights against the causes and consequences of hunger everywhere in the world. For over 45 years, our humanitarian organisation has been developing expertise in the spheres of health and nutrition and access to water and sanitation, as well as food security, mental health, advocacy, research and risk and disaster management.

Our goal is to eradicate world hunger. Our NGO deploys teams to implement all sorts of projects where vulnerable populations need them. We provide emergency responses to conflicts and natural catastrophes in order to guarantee access to basic necessities, water, food or health care. We also offer development assistance by supporting vulnerable populations as they develop their food resources and income-generating activities, so that they become more resilient and independent.

Together, we build sustainable solutions. Because every life counts.

Gender equality

We fight for gender equality, which we consider essential if we are to eradicate hunger and fight poverty. It is at the heart of any effective humanitarian response and of sustainable development.

Tackling sexist and sexual violence in the workplace

Action contre la Faim has a policy in place to prevent and tackle sexist and sexual violence in the workplace.

We will do everything to help marginalised populations and the most vulnerable people during our missions and the activities we carry out, always acting with integrity and respecting humanitarian principles.

Whether in response to a crisis or for the long term, our humanitarian action and projects have a measurable impact. We accept our responsibilities and always show accountability when it comes to our work.

We are always innovating and looking for new ways to move forward, new projects and new activities. Our goal is to always do better.

We are respected, globally renowned nutrition experts. We analyse, propose solutions and share our knowledge while always encouraging others to get involved.

We cannot solve these problems alone. So, we work in partnership with others to maximise our impact and create a worldwide solidarity movement for change.
